How the archive works
Every book here was added by a member or brought over from our earlier catalogue. When you add an ISBN we look it up in Open Library and Google Books; if neither knows it, our book agent keeps trying and tells you when it is found, and you can always fill the details in by hand. Your shelf has two sides: what you have read (with a rating and a review if you like) and what you own. Owned books stay private unless you tick “I share this copy” — then other members can see who has one. Ratings are shown only once a book has 5 of them. Nothing here is sponsored and no money passes through the site.
