Your account and data
What is stored, what you control, and what closing deletes.
What we keep
Only what the part of the site you use needs, listed item by item in the privacy notice with how long each is kept. No advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking cookies; the cookies page names every cookie. When you arrive we note, in broad terms, where from — “a Google search”, “a poster link” — never the full address or your IP, so we know which places bring students here.
What stays private
Your calendar, your messages, the offers you received, your home-card photos, your friend-matching answers and private details, who you blocked, who liked you, who sits at a table with you before it is confirmed. None of these are read by staff — the privacy notice lists each one, and the site's own checks fail if an admin page ever touches them.
What you control
From your account: name, photo, bio, email, password and sign-in methods, devices, every notification and email, your travel and hosting profile, what your public profile shows, the listings and posts you made. Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or anything else from the rights section — the answer comes within a month.
Closing your account
Close it from your account; it is immediate and cannot be undone. Closing deletes your identity and almost everything attached to it, and signs you out everywhere. A short, fixed list of things stays, shown as “Removed account”, because they are other people's record as much as yours: forum posts and comments, poll votes (counted, with nothing linking them to you), messages in the other member's copy, stays you confirmed, reviews and references you wrote. The exact list, and why, is in the privacy notice under Your control.
