Friends, circles and tables
Meeting people without a dating app.
Friend matching
Turn it on in Account › Friends: pick interests, say what you are looking for (a study buddy, a local guide, someone to explore the city with…), your free time and how you like to meet. The site scores members against each other and shows you people whose answers fit yours in both directions — your preferences and theirs. You see a match level, never a number. Browse, or use roulette: one card at a time, like or skip, up to 30 likes a day. Nobody is told you liked them unless they like you too; then it is a match and a conversation opens.
What people see of you comes in layers — On your card → After a match → Friends only → People you choose. Friends-only details (your birthday without the year, your handles elsewhere) open when a friend request is accepted. Private details you may choose to add — orientation, faith, politics, allergies and the like — are shown to no one unless you share them with one specific person, are never a filter, and are never seen by staff. Someone you skip does not come back for 30 days; after a declined or ended friendship, 30 days pass before a new request. This is not a dating site, and using it as one gets an account closed.
Circles
Circles gather members who share a country, a city or an interest. Joining is one click, up to 30 circles; nobody is added to a circle automatically. Everyone sees a circle's name and how many members it has; the member list is shown only to its members. A circle can carry events and forum topics added by their owners, and exchange posts visible only inside it. Circles in detail.
Tables
Once a week, in cities with enough active members, the site invites 6 members who do not know each other — and whose preferences fit — to one table on one evening. You opt in, mark the evenings you can make, and see the others' names only once the table is confirmed. The site suggests no venue, books nothing and takes no money; the people at the table choose a place together. Afterwards each says whether they were there, and may tick members they would like to keep in touch with — a tick shows to nobody unless it is mutual. Tables in detail.
Radar
With radar on, the site tells you about trips, exchange posts and events within the distance you chose (10 km, 25 km, 50 km, 100 km, 200 km) at the rhythm you chose (every day, every 3 days, once a week) — one notification per period, counts and dates only. Off is a setting too.
