Function plotter
Type a function of x — or several — and the graph draws itself. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, hover to read values. Letters other than x (such as a or b) become sliders.
Drag to pan · scroll or pinch to zoom · double-click to zoom in. Everything is computed in your browser with math.js; nothing is sent or stored. The link button writes the functions and the window into the address bar so you can share or bookmark the graph.
What this plotter does
- Several functions in colour
- Pan, zoom and pinch
- Values under the cursor
- Sliders for parameters (a, b, …)
- Derivative as a dashed curve
- Roots, extrema and intersections
- Degrees or radians
- 1 : 1 axes and fit
- Download as PNG
- Share as a link
Write functions the way you would on paper: x^2, sin(2x), e^(-x^2), (x^2-1)/(x-2). Any other letter, such as a in a*sin(x), gets a slider so you can watch the curve change. Key points marks roots, local maxima and minima, and where two curves cross; Derivatives adds f′(x) as a dashed curve, computed symbolically. Asymptotes are detected so that 1/x or tan(x) are not joined across the gap. More tools: Tools for students.
