Statistics calculator
Paste numbers — one per line, separated by commas or spaces, or x, y pairs — and get the full descriptive summary, a histogram, a box plot, a frequency table and, for pairs, a scatter plot with the regression line. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.
Sample standard deviation uses n − 1; quartiles use linear interpolation (the same method as Excel's QUARTILE.INC and R's default). Outliers are values beyond 1.5 × IQR from the quartiles. The confidence interval uses the t distribution. Everything is computed in your browser; the link button puts the data in the address bar (up to about 2,000 characters), nothing is stored.
What this calculator does
- Mean, median, mode, range
- Sample and population SD and variance
- Quartiles, IQR and outliers
- Skewness and kurtosis
- 95% confidence interval (t)
- Histogram and box plot
- Frequency table
- Scatter plot with regression line, r and r²
- One-sample t-test with p-value
- PNG download and shareable link
Paste a column of numbers from a spreadsheet, a lab sheet or a survey and the summary appears as you type: count, sum, mean, median, mode, minimum, maximum, range, quartiles and interquartile range, sample and population variance and standard deviation, standard error, coefficient of variation, skewness, kurtosis, outliers and a 95% confidence interval for the mean. Paste two columns and you also get the Pearson correlation, the least-squares line y = a + bx with r² and the standard error of the estimate, drawn over the scatter plot. Give a reference value μ₀ and the one-sample t-test reports t, the degrees of freedom and the two-sided p-value. More tools: Tools for students.
