Events
Who answers for an event, going, and attendance.
Posting an event
An event is a listing: a talk, a workshop, a meetup or a fair, with a real date, time and place, in person or online. It stays on the board until it ends. The member who posts it answers for it — they confirm, when posting, that it is real, that they will be there, and that the details are true. EduFabTech does not organise, host or vouch for any event.
An organiser can invite up to 5 co-organisers by username; each accepts the same responsibility when they join, and appears on the event. Places and conditions (“students of any university; bring a laptop”) are information, not a booking: nobody pays anything through the site.
Going
Signed-in members say they are going with one click. The number going is public; the names are shown only to the organisers and to the other people going. When an event has a number of places and they are taken, newcomers join a waiting list and move up automatically if someone drops out. You can leave the list any time before the event.
After the event
For 14 days after it ends, organisers mark who came and attendees say whether it happened as described. When both agree, the attendee receives 0.5 trust points and the organiser 1 — once per event. Nothing is taken away for a no. If most attendees say an event was not what it claimed, a moderator looks, and can stop that member from posting events.
